3 Ways to Find Peace Instead of Living in Fear

The world is living in a lot of fear right now, and if you look at everything on the surface, you can see why. Rumors of wars, bombs, killings, etc…. it’s a lot. However, we can’t thrive in this fear. We can’t be crippled by it. WHY, you ask? Well, because to fulfill your purpose in life, you can't be crippled by the negative spirit of fear. We weren’t made to have a spirit of fear! I have three ways we can find peace instead of living in fear. Follow these tips TODAY, so you can fulfill your purpose and destiny.

  1. Stop reading, sharing, and discussing:
We live in a world that shares anything and everything. For example, people are literally sharing their deaths on social media! What’s even crazier... we are sharing it TOO! My main point is, just because a story, article, video, etc. is out there – that doesn’t mean we have to share it. We are not only infecting our minds, but we go on to infect our followers. If something you read or watch makes you “angry, mad, fearful, etc.” don’t share it. It’s that simple. Don’t allow that negativity to spread further. You can stop it.
TIP: When you see a post that creates fear, share something that shows peace, love, joy, etc.

  2. Do for others, as you would want done to you:
The golden rule. Why do we find it difficult follow that one rule? I find that if someone does us wrong, it's more likely that we will do them wrong too (talking bad about them, cursing them, hating them, unforgiveness, etc.). However, that means that we are disregarding the sure way to be blessed and be a blessing to others. We can be the one to stop the cycle of hate, mistrust, greed, and envy. If we truly want others to treat us better, it has to start with us. We have to treat EVERYONE the way that we want to be treated.
TIP: If someone curses you or treats you badly – practice mindfulness. Before you respond to them, pause, reflect, and smile. You don’t have to do react to the negativity being thrown to you. An easy way to do this is to just say “God Bless You” to everyone – friend or foe. It puts a positive aura around you that negativity can’t break through.

  3. Pray, pray, and pray some more!
I’ve said this in NUMEROUS blog posts, statuses, shoot I’ve created a kit that is dedicated to praying (click here to order). Prayer can move mountains, change history, change destiny, and help us create a peaceful wonderful life. The Bible says in Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”, in John 15:7 “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”, and in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” We need to pray that God’s will is done on this Earth. We need to pray for our country, for our leadership, for our president, for our friends, family, co-workers, enemies…. Pray for everyone and everything. When you pray, trust that God will hear and answer your prayer.
TIP: Create a prayer room/closet. It’s a great way to seek God in a private way.

We are not supposed to live in fear. Don’t allow yourself to. If you have other ways to fight fear, comment below! I would love to hear them!

Also, don’t forget to order your own prayer closet starter kit. It’s a great way to pray and grow your relationship with God.
